home what is a postnatal doula? about me the service I offer accolades contact me links

The service I offer varies greatly according to the needs of the mother/couple and baby. My role is flexible, and is designed to fit in with your situation - for example, the type of support will differ for a first time mother compared to that for a woman who already has children.

Examples of help might be light housework, care of baby, shopping, cooking, feeding support (breast or bottle), laundry, school runs and of course a listening ear.

I successfully breastfed all my children. I ran breastfeeding workshops for staff at Hillingdon Hospital having done an 'Invest in Breast Together' course in London. Although I have years of personal and professional breastfeeding experience, I fully support the woman in whatever way she chooses to feed her baby.

I offer everything from a couple of postnatal visits to help the new mother settle at home with her baby, to a more extended period of time during which I will give you all the extra support and help you need until you feel ready to cope on your own again.

If desired, I can offer a written contract to ensure mutual satisfaction and peace of mind. I have been police-checked (CRB) and I am fully insured (both for Public Liability and to transport you and your child/children in my car). I completed a Baby and Child First Aid course in 2005. I am the Doula UK Regional Representative for Hampshire.

My standard rate is £15.00 per hour, Monday to Friday.
